you answer some of the more common ones.
1. Can I rent one of the houses but not the other?
Yes and No.
- During peak season June 15th through August 31st, we only rent both houses together.
During off season Sept 1st through June 15th, we sometimes will rent one house and not the other. However, if you rent one house, please note that you will more than likely be sharing the lake front space with another family.
2. Can I rent the house for less than a week?
During the summer season (June 15-Aug 31) we only rent for one full week.
3. Do I need to bring sheets and towels?
Fresh bed sheets and bath towels are provided. However, we recommend that you bring beach towels with you.
4. Can I bring a boat and dock it at the house?
Yes, you can bring a boat and dock it but it needs to be 22 feet or less. The property has 2 docks. However, our boat and jet ski are on the north dock. The south dock is open and has bumpers and dock cleats to secure your boat. The make, model, and length needs to be communicated before check-in.
5. What should we bring with us?
- Water shoes
- Toilet paper and paper towels
- Beach towels
6. Is there a coffee maker or Keurig?
Both houses have a Keurig as well as a standard coffee maker.
7. Is there a grill?
Yes, there are 2 grills. There is a large grill on the deck of the main house and a smaller grill on the deck of the lower cottage.
8. I see a boat and jet ski in the pictures, can we use them during our stay?
No, but boats and jet skis can be rented.
9. Can I check in early? Can I check out late?
Unfortunately, not! Our cleaners use the entire time between check in and check out to thoroughly clean the property.
You will have access to everything on the property except the garage, which we use for storage. however, there is parking available for as many as 10 cars.
We live about an hour away in Rochester but we are available if you have any questions. Just send us a message. You can also ring the doorbell camera and I can answer any questions remotely.
Our houses are located on the NorthWest side of Keuka lake. Just 3 minutes from Penn Yan where you can stock up on groceries, get dinner at the Mexican Restaurant (our favorite), go shopping in town, or rent a boat/jetski from Morgan Marine. Branchport and Keuka Lake state park are both 8 minutes away.
Keuka Taxi service is a good option if you need a ride somewhere. They are located in Penn Yan.
We kindly request that our guests start a load of their dirty towels Friday night/Saturday AM before you check out. This really helps us transition the property for new renters on Sunday afternoon. There are 3 washer/dryer sets on the property.

You must also acknowledge:
Must climb stairs – There are 2 flights of stairs from the upper house down to the lower house
Security Deposit – if you damage the home, you may be charged up to $1000. The deposit amount may change before you book the home.
Surveillance or recording devices on property – There are 2 outside security cameras. 1 on the garage facing the Rd and 1 on the lower deck. There is a Doorbell camera as well.
